Sailing Trips
Sail your way to Inhaca Island and Portuguese Island on a Dhow Sailing Trip. This type of sailing is very common in the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean, where a one or two-masted sailing vessel with triangular sails is used to cruise the waters. These islands are the most popular locations near Machangulo, with incredible landscapes and local communities to explore. We will help you plan your perfect sailing expedition.
Fishing
Machangulo Villas is central to various fishing destinations, leaving formidable fishers with multiple options to choose from, including rock angling and even fly fishing. There are also deep-sea fishing tours for adventure seekers to gain those extra nautical miles. Just let us know when you want to go, and we’ll set you up for a day out at sea.
Surfing
Sail the seas in our lovely tropical climate year-round. If you’re an expert looking to refine your skill, surfing season is from April to August. But if you’re just looking for a good time, splash around in the waves and catch your breath on the warm baked sand while enjoying the sun.
Safari's
Outdoor enthusiasts and wildlife wanderers can sit tight as they are taken on a full-day safari trip around the Maputo National Park. You will be given an expedition among the beautifully preserved wildlife of this region, including elephants, nyala, eland, zebras and giraffes.
Whale Watching
Whale watching season is from June to the end of September every year. The majestic humpback whale can be sighted in all its glory as they migrate thousands of kilometers from their rich feeding grounds in Antarctica up to the warmer waters of East Africa to breed and give birth. Our perfectly located villas ensure you can look at this amazing sight right from your deck.
Snorkeling
When you’re not riding a wave, you can go on a snorkeling picnic on Inhaca Island. With over two kilometers of pristine beachfront to snorkel, you are guaranteed to see spectacular marine life in the rocky reef Coral Gardens. If you’re passionate about historical sights, you’ll enjoy the shipwreck that can be found just off the island. When you’re not exploring the seabed, you can spend some time on the beach, soaking up the sun and cooling off in the water.
